Alison Bartley has a first class Honours degree in Art History and a background in media and communications. She is an enthusiastic promoter of the visual arts and was a member of Wellington's public art panel, established by the Wellington City Council, to provide advice on art in public place from 2005 -2009. Our name reflects our approach to art - art is essentially social, it is about communicating. And to do that it needs company - the company of artists and the company of supporters and collectors. Any gallery is only as good as the company it keeps. We value the company we keep and we enjoy the connotations of the name: Bartley and Company Art: reliable and inclusive, edgy and interesting.
